Cocoa plant (Theobroma cacao) is evergreen tree from Sterculiaceae family. Native to tropical forests and regions of Americas. Beans are used to make cocoa powder, cocoa butter, chocolate or cocoa liquer.
Cocoa powder is made from what is left of the cocoa paste, when the fat, the cocoa butter has been removed.
Recommended daily intake is up to two tablespoons per day.
Add to hot and cold beverages, porridge, muesli and other sweets. In order to make yourself a warm cup of organic cocoa, add 2 teaspoons to favourite herbal drink. Add sweetener to taste.
