Coconut flour is obtained from dried and finely ground, defatted coconut meat on a low temperature. Coconut flour is naturally gluten free product which is often used in baking as a gluten free substitute for wheat or any other flour containing gluten. Rich source of healthy fats, protein and fibre. Should be considered as an essential ingredient in your pantry.
When substituting, note that does not substitute for wheat flour in a 1:1 ratio. Should be converted depending on the application and recipe as it has the ability to absorb large quantities of liquid.
Suggested use:
Mostly used in gluten free baking.
Works very well as a thickener or a binding agent.
