Green life of veggie moms is a book divided into three units:
The first part discusses the colorful plant-based nutrition and all of the necessary nutrients. We've also covered some very interesting topics like proteins, vitamin D and B12, calcium and omega sources, organic products and the ecological footprint, demystifying soybeans, sprouting and ˝superfood˝. We have invited many Super heroes, including Mrs. Zucchini and Mr. Sweet Potato, to introduce themselves to us.
The second part of the book is devoted to pregnant women, nursing mothers, babies and all future mothers. While the changes taking place in our bodies can be miraculous, being pregnant still requires implementing different rules. This section includes answers to questions such as whether one needs to eat for two while pregnant, which nutrients should we be careful while consuming, how to solve various problems when they arise during pregnancy. It also includes examples of plant-based menus for the first, second and third trimester, as well as during breastfeeding. When introducing babies to solid foods, there are always so many question marks and dilemmas that parents face. Recommendations are always evolving and changing. In this part of the book, we used our own research, experience and professional knowledge to make food easier to understand for both children and parents.
The third part of the book includes our own personal cookbook, which, in addition to detailed and clarified recipes, also provides practical advice on replacements for certain foods, alternative ways of preparing and adjusting recipes for a gluten-free or an allergy-friendly diet. In addition to the recipes, there are also specific menus that we collected from other experienced “green” moms.Country of origin: Croatia
