Hulled barley or barley mash is the whole grain form of barley, with only the outermost hull removed. Rich in fibre, it is considered to be the healthiest kind of barley. Like most of hulled grains, texture is somewhat firm and requires slightly longer cooking period until tender. Despite everything said, it is very tasty and versatile grain which may be used in both sweet and savoury combinations.
Cook in a boiling water until tender, usually around 30 minutes.
Soak overnight to reduce cooking time.
100% organic hulled barley (Hordeum vulgare)
Product contains gluten.
Also may contain traces of sesame, mustard, peanuts, soy and nuts.
Store in a cool, dry and dark place.
