Indigofera tinctoria is a plant whose leaves are blue (indigo). One of the oldest natural print and textile colors - the first denim pants are colored indigo until the beginning 20th century and discoveries of synthetic blue. The name comes from the Latin term indicum, which would be mean "indian".
1/3 henna and 2/3 indigo = dark brown to black
1/2 henna and 1/2 indigo = chestnut brown
2/3 henna and 1/3 indigo = brown hazelnut
