Like all legumes, lentil contains plenty of valuable nutrients. Known for their quick and easy germination process in large quantities, these sprouts must be eaten or stored before the leaf occurs to prevent it from losing most of its nutrients. The sprout can be eaten with the whole integument. To ease digestion, it is advisable to steam the sprouts for a few short minutes.
Soak in water for minimum 8 hours. Rinse them and arrange on the appropriate surface like sprouter tray or sprouting jar allowing seed to increase their volume at least 4 times. Germination takes between 3 to 4 days after wihich they can be consumed immediately or stored in the refrigerator for 1-2 weeks.
