Linseed is an excellent source of Omega3, even greater than that contained in some fish oils. Flax seeds are mucilaginous and as soon as they are put in water they quickly develop a gelatinous membrane that repels water completely. They require attention especially in the very first days of germination. On average they have long growth period and long, robust sprout which is rich in fiber.
The normal period in water is not necessary. Seeds should be slightly moistened and immediately arranged on appropriate surface. Leave the seeds out of the light until the first leaves appear. Wet the seeds 1-2 times a day and only with the amount of water necessary to keep them moist at all times. The sprouts are ready in 6-8 days. They can be kept in the refrigerator for 1 week.
