Created from the outer layer of organically cultivated oat grain, oat bran makes a deliciously smooth and creamy breakfast, although it can also be used as an addition to baked goods like muffins, where it adds a distinctive texture and rich, nutty flavour.
Bring a pinch of salt and 480ml of cold water to a boil. Slowly stir in 80g of oat bran on a medium heat for 2 minutes stirring continuously. Remove from heat and let stand for 2 minutes before serving. This amount is enough for two portions.
