Peanut Flour is made by taking roasted peanuts, grinding them into a paste and then pressing out the oil. Final product is then made by refining the peanut mass that is left after the oil is pressed out. Since most of the oil has been pressed out, peanut flour is relatively low in fat. But it is still full of protein, fibre and other nutrients that make peanuts nutritional powerhouses. Depending on the quality of raw materials used in the process may contain more than 50% of protein.
It's a natural thickener and great addition to stews, sauces and gravies. Addition in making healthy snacks, cookies or pancakes.
With a pinch of salt and a bit of water, make your own homemade peanut butter.
