Made from only two ingredients, white rice flour and water, this versatile noodles can be stir-fried, cooked in soups and combined with all sorts of sauces.
With their low sugar, caloric and fat content, rice noodles contain protein and dietary fibers important for varied and balanced diet. Although, bear in mind that method of preparation can increase fat level. For example, if you cook and fry them in the Pad Thai recipe, the fat will rise significantly because the rice noodles absorb the fat of what they are being cooked with. If you want the amount of fat to remain low, cook them in soups or steam with vegetables.
Naturally gluten free, rice noodles are particularly great choice for everyone suffering from coeliac disease.
