Rice paper is used for making fresh summer, salad rolls or fried spring rolls in Asian cuisine, especially Vietnamese. Ingredients of the food rice paper include white rice flour, tapioca starch, salt and water. The tapioca starch makes the rice paper glutinous and smooth. Nutrigold rice paper is sold dried in thin, crisp, translucent round sheets. The sheets are dipped briefly in hot water to soften, then wrapped around savoury or sweet ingredients.
Dip briefly in hot water to soften sheets. Then wrap around savoury and sweet ingredients of your choice. Serve raw or fried.
