Sesame (Sesamum indicum) is an annual plant cultivated for more than 3000 years and used for oil, flour and tahini paste production. Sesame flour is naturally gluten free product with mild taste and nutty aroma made from fat reduced sesame seeds. Praised for its nutritional value. Great source of protein, suitable for both vegan and vegetarian diet. Contains high fibre and mineral content with reduced carbohydrates and caloric value.
Most often used for making bread dough, pizzas, muffins and cakes even though it can be used in many other ways and applications.
