Wheat gluten is the most often used ingredient in making vegetarian ''meat'' products and preparing baked goods due to its stickiness and elasticity properties.
Wheat gluten, also known as seitan, is an indispensable ingredient in a vegan and vegetarian diet that can replace meat products considering alike fibery texture.

Wheat gluten or seitan also contains low proportions of fat and carbohydrates making it a suitable food for vegans and vegetarians.
If you don’t have any problem consuming wheat or gluten products, we recommend using seitan occasionally as part of a low-fat and plant-based diet.
Mix wheat gluten with lukewarm water and stir until spongey and rubbery-like consistency. Use your hands to knead into balls and set it aside for 10 minutes. Add seitan balls in boiling salt water until they expand and appear floating on the surface. Take them out, drain and slice in desirable shape after which they should be submerged in boiling water for another 10 minutes.
