Wheat (Triticum) is a well-known, nutritious grain from Poaceae family. One of the most cultivated and most important crops in the world. Fact is that around 70% of world's population is consuming wheat in any shape or form in their daily diet. Most of the time through baked goods, especially bread.
Suggested use:
Whole grain wheat is mostly used in pasta and bread where it is easiest to digest. Soak before cooking for 6 to 8 hours. Cook in water to wheat ratio of 2:1 for 50-60 minutes or until tender.
Can be sprouted into wheat grass or ground to make flour.
