White beans originated in Argentina, where they were grown by Italian migrants, who later brought them to Europe where they were considered a very exotic dish.
Today, white beans, also known as white kidney beans and Cannella beans, belong to the legume family.
They are an excellent source of protein and fiber, and also contains low levels of fat which makes them a tasty and healthy choice for any meal.
Since it is recommended to include as much dietary fiber as possible in the diet, white beans will be a great food choice.
Nutrigold white beans are from certified organic farming and are produced in highly controlled production conditions.
You can use white beans in hot stews and soups, salads, as a delicious spread or a simple side dish. If you want to throw out red meat, legumes like white beans will be a great substitute.
Soak in water for approximately 6–8 hours before cooking, preferably overnight.
Rinse and place in a large pot and cover with fresh water. Bring to a boil for 10 minutes, reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 1 to 1-1/2 hours until tender.
Can be used in all types of soups, salads and rice dishes.
