Couscous is believed to be native to North Africa. Made from durum wheat flour called semolina and nowadays very popular due to its fast cooking properties. Good source of protein, carbohydrates and fibre with low caloric value.
It is recommended to place couscous in a steamer pan for 5 to 10 minutes or cover with boiling water for dense structure.
Cook and chill to use as a base for salads, fast vegetable dishes or for a healthy breakfast.
