Rice (Oryza) is second most used grain after wheat in Croatian cuisine. In Asian countries, rice dominates with 80-90% share in total diet of an avarage consumer. Mild and neutral flavoured flour obtained from finely milled whole grain rice kernels.
Nutrigold whole grain rice flour is gluten free version of wheat flour. Easier to digest, but due to ability to absorb more liquid when used in cooking and baking applications, final result is not as good, somewhat crumbly. Characterised by high content of B vitamins, iron, manganese, protein and fibre.
Whole grain rice flour works great as a sauce thickener, as a breading for fried dishes and base for various baked goods. Perfect for adding to pancakes, muffins, scones and cookies.
We recommend heating flour with required liquid before use and adding other ingredients in cool mixture in order to break down coarse texture.
